These multimedia images are paintings created on a scanner bed. I was really inspired by the movement of the scanner and its ephemeral nature. The paintings only existed in the moment of the scan, and were wiped clean after. I consider them temporary abstract alter pieces.
As humans our existence is trailing behind us. We leave our marks in varied scales of movement, unconscious of the patterns we create. Our large gestures and minor nuances are apart of a waking life of evolving matter. Our traces and residue are patterns we leave behind. We must give thanks to this process in which we validate form, unconscious togetherness, and its intuitive worth.
